The Right Time, The Right Angle: Bridge Photo Competition
Perhaps
you know about a special place in your homeland. Or perhaps you unexpectedly
came across something interesting and unusual in your hometown. Share your
photo! The topic of this year’s competition is "The Right Time, The Right
Angle".
Your photo can show a well-known place from an original perspective or it can show a hidden corner only you know about. Try to be as creative as possible. The only condition is that the photo must have been taken in the Czech Republic (or Slovakia if you live there).
Also, give your photo a title and write a few sentences in English – a personal comment on the photo. You can, for example, say why you like the place, why the particular detail caught your eye, what the atmosphere is like or what your feelings about it are. To give you inspiration, there are several sample photos in the September 2011 issue of Bridge magazine (pp. 30-31).
Competition rules
- Each participant can send 1–2 photos.
- You must give your photo a title and write a comment in English (4–7 sentences).
- If you send the photo digitally, email it to competition@bridge-online.cz and put "Photo competition" as the subject of your email. The photo must be in JPG format and the minimum size is 1000 pixels for the longer side. Write the photo title and comment into the body of your email, and also give your full name, the name and address of your school and the name of your English teacher.
- If you don't use a digital camera, you can send your photo by post to Nakladatelství Bridge, Ševce Matouše 22, 140 00 Praha 4. Write "Photo competition" on the envelope and don't forget to include all the information mentioned above.
- The deadline is March 1, 2012.
