Welcome to the new school year. We hope that the September issue of Bridge magazine will make it easier to get back into the rhythms of school life. We enter the new school year with a new series, “English-speaking countries from A to Z”, where we’ll be introducing each country using all the letters of the alphabet. Each issue we’ll also be taking a look at an interesting place in the same country. In the September issue, our A to Z focuses on Great Britain, and we’ll be paying a visit to Cornwall. In addition, you will run the London Marathon with us, practice idioms associated with school and try to guess which of some incredible statements are true and which are made up. And there is culture, too: the literary classic Jane Eyre, the popular series Stranger Things and the singer Yungblud (not all together, of course). There’s also a double helping of Maturita exercises, and a new writing competition.
